The Lone Ranger remembers.
Back in my college days I had a history professor who liked to do “surprise quizzes” (remember those college grads?) based on the reading assignment for that day. There usually was a question based on a footnote or picture caption. He made his point and we began paying attention to these items in our text.
I’d like to mention to my followers and readers that endnotes, footnotes, references, and links contain important material related to the topic of the post. They amplify and clarify issues. Please read them to better understand the message at hand.

George, great work. I read your postings because it is a good way to be informed. I pay close attention to the information provided because knowledge is power. Thank you very much.
George,
Once again, thank you for the work you do. I read every link you put in your articles. It has helped me become more educated. It has also help me to be someone the Owners in my HOA turn to for answers when they have problems with the Board.
By the way, the mention of your name in front of some HOA attorneys causes a very interesting reaction. Feel good, they know who you are and most of them respect you — some seem to have a fear!
The amount of work you must put in to find all of the information has always impressed me. I know I would not be able to find most of those things if left on my own. Once again, thank you for the time and effort you put in on behalf of HOA Owners.
Thanks Keith for telling everyone where I stand with attorneys involved in HOA disputes and affairs. I am well known to the prominent CAI attorneys for some time — Carpenter, Ekmark, Mulcahy, Shaw, Maxwell, Goldschmidt, Goodman, Bolen, Jason Smith and their staffs — as well as the handful of attorneys who have fought the Evil Empire and successfully won for the homeowner.
What is needed, as I’ve advanced in private, is the need for these successful attorneys to hold educational seminars for other attorneys on the topic: How to Win against the fallacies of HOA attorneys. CAI is not welcome to be an instructor. Legislation is most likely needed to authorize and commit the Arizona State Bar to hold and sponsor such seminars. Let’s balance the playing field.
We would also need the support of the media who have been very reluctant to say anything bad about HOA-Land, aside from reporting incidents and events as just local matters. Shame on them! They have an obligation under the 1st Amendment that grants them special free speech privileges as a necessity to insure that our democracy functions as intended — telling both sides of the story! Shame on them!
